(Above photo from: InterContinental Yorkville)
Earlier this week I went on another staycation, and spent a night at the InterContinental Hotel in Yorkville. They are ideally located; across from the Royal Ontario Museum & a stone's throw away from the best designer shops in the city. They're a pet-friendly hotel, so I brought Hennessy with me. He was ecstatic - spent the first few hours running around the room and checking out every corner. Despite my hyper dog, I had such a nice relaxing night! Love staycations :)
I had a studio suite, which was really spacious. It included a King bed, large screen tv, sitting area, 4-piece marble bathroom, desk, iPod speakers + most other amenities you'd want in a hotel. One thing I didn't like though was that they charged for the Internet.
As you can see..my dog loves to pose
View out my window. ROM on the far left
CN Tower in the distance
My favourite amenity!! Soft comfy bathrobes.
Long bath..reading in the tub. Accidentally dropped it in at one point.
Second favourite amenity - iPod dock/speakers! Hotel Costes music all night :D
After checking out the next morning, I brought Hennessy to get a new toy..all the way from Rue Cambon(e) ;)

Omg, this makes me want to have a staycation with my dog too....cept it won't be much of a difference for him since he just sleeps all day too (yeah we're bad dog owners =() Holy crap, the ROM building looks crazy!!!! (no I don't know what ROM stands for but decided to use it and hope you think that I know what I'm talking about lmao) I love bath amenities at hotels too and always take as many as I can LMAO. Hey, they make great souvenirs =P I still remember being surprised that disney world used H2O shampoos etc.
ReplyDeleteUgh that is a pet peeve I have with fancy or large hotels. Why do they still charge for internet?! Shouldn't that be a basic thing now? I think disney world charged 10 or 13$ for internet per day, the only place you could get it free I think was the lobby but there wasn't much place to sit and go on your laptop either =S When you go on these staycations do you stay one or two nights? <--purely curious lol
ooh my god, the chewnel thing is so cute! ahha ur dog must have been so happy!
ReplyDeleteI want a good pamper too!! :(
