Here are some photos from inside and at the top of the Duomo in Milan. I spent quite a long time walking around here admiring the beautiful architecture and intricate details. It's huge inside and the ceiling is very high. At first I didn't know photos were allowed as I saw a sign that said that..then I saw people taking photos. I looked back at the sign and realized it said no photos with selfie sticks lol.
Nice floors
Going up to the top. There's a lot of different tickets for the Duomo. The regular one is just to tour the main area inside. Then you can get a ticket that includes going to the top (which I got) and choose between taking the elevator or taking the stairs. The stairs ticket is slightly cheaper. I got the elevator one which I recommend..the stairs were really narrow with no air conditioning. I saw some people coming out from the stairs when I got to the top and they were sooo out of breath. I think it takes 45min to go up? There's also a ticket to go to the bottom archaeological area as well which I didn't go..I should've though as I realize now it was only like an extra 2 euros lol.
There was a lot of people just sitting around suntanning. You can't tell in the photos but the sides are actually pretty steep and very slippery. I wanted to go down to see the view but my shoes had no grip so I didn't want to risk it. I ended up slipping and falling as I was leaving though lol (on the way out there was one panel to get to the stairs). Hopefully nobody saw.
I went to the top once. The views are very nice. If I remember well, I took the lift...
