650. Recent Life

A couple of weeks ago we went for dinner at the semi-new Pick 6ix/Drake's restaurant. I wasn't expecting much when we went since the online reviews so far are pretty bad. The cuisine is mostly sushi and Asian fusion. I thought the food wasn't horrible but just pretty overpriced. The sushi options on their menu seemed to be more expensive than my other favourite sushi restaurants in Toronto (which specialize in Japanese cuisine/are highly-rated). I really liked the interior designs of the restaurant though, and all the food was nicely presented.



I think there are several hundred Ace of Spades bottles/boxes in there


I loved the washroom sinks!


The pavlova dessert was really good.


Punk Buddhas by Metis Atash. They are all made with Swarovski crystals.








At my building's Owners' AGM. I recently came to the realization that I've already been living at my current place for 10 years (!!) this year. Time really flies. I remember the time I attended the first meeting when I was just 18 and it was held in our downstairs vault (my building used to be a bank so that was the safety deposit vault) and there was only like ~20 people. Now we have it in the ballroom and I still always look forward to the food there hahah.

A new Asian desserts place, Luscious Desserts. We don't get many of these places in downtown so I'm glad they opened one. It's pretty good. We came twice in one week..




At Mod Club last weekend. There was a Daft Punk-inspired band. I used to really love Daft Punk!

On a warm day a couple weeks ago, my friend and I spontaneously decided to take a touristy boat ride around Toronto Islands.
