Last night, we asked our housekeeper for dinner to be prepared and our guide also came over to bring us a new year's cake. So we ate with them and then by the night, I was already so tired and almost fell asleep at 11pm. It's funny to think back when I used to stay up until at least 3/4/5am every single night and now I can barely make it to midnight. I also can't believe I used to go out a lot until late because now I get nervous if I'm not at home by the time it's dark hahah.
I guess it's a sign I'm getting older. I feel I don't care about certain holidays as much anymore..or maybe it's just this year with everything going on in the world. I don't feel the pressures I used to in the past, of needing to do something special to celebrate it. To be honest I don't think the end of 2020 is much to celebrate now as the pandemic is still coming with us into the new year. I see a lot of people saying that 2020 was a horrible year and they're glad it's over but it's not like 2021 will be very different. Not for now anyways. The current events in the world make life really unpredictable for literally everyone. It has shown us how fragile life can be and how lives can be changed so drastically overnight. I have always been aware of this but now even more. Anyways, I hope everything will be better for next year and that we can finally start to see an end to the pandemic.
So here are the rest of the photos I'll post from Chefchaouen! I think these are my favourite steps of the place (pic above). I like how they painted a door/house scene on the large boulder.
